2025 — Emergency Earthquake Relief Response in Mandalay & Sagaing

Following the devastating earthquake, CAN-Myanmar mobilized a global crowdfunding campaign, raising $15,000 USD (equivalent to 52.5 Million MMK) from the global Myanmar diaspora.

The emergency response prioritized vulnerable and underserved populations, including LGBTIQA+ community members, women, and marginalized Muslim villages.

In addition to initial relief in Sagaing Township (where aid worth over 5 million MMK was directly delivered to 50 households on April 8, 2025), the full fund was successfully distributed across the most severely impacted areas in Sagaing, Mandalay, and Amarapura townships, providing direct financial assistance and essential commodities to affected families.
